Nurse Quiz

The quiz is on blank sheet of white paper to showcase the color of the font. At the top is the name "Nursing Quzzes" Accross from that is a medical symbol and the word "Nurse" next to it. Underneath the name of the quiz "Are you a good Certified Nursing Assistant?" After the title there 9 questions total. Each question has two through 3 answer to them, by it being Yes or No. 

I defiantly tweaked this quiz for Certified Nursing. i had to create questions that pertain to nursing. I had to come up with questions that asked about working in the nursing field. 

the target audience would be someone that is already a Certified Nurse and would like to know how she/he is doing in their profession. They can take this quiz and get a perspective of a online quiz. The convention of a quiz is like getting interview because the quiz is asking you questions about yourself.

I included my observation and interview into the making of this quiz. Observing the nursing home at Gilbert Residence I notice how the nurses interacted with their patients and I took that into consideration for the questions. Also from my observation of what Certified Nursing Assistants(CNAs) wear during their job. From the interview I took out the problem of Certified Nursing Assistants. the problem of teamwork in the work place. So I incorporated those details into making this quiz.

The things I excluded would be the research. the reason for this is because I didn't really need to ask about education and what they need to do to become a Certified Nursing Assistant because the quiz is asking already being a CNA. 

Quiz Example

A quiz is a set of questions with multiply answers. The quiz is on personality of "Are you Shy Person?" For the quiz that I used it has 13 questions and 2 multiply answers of Yes or No. Each question is number from 1 to 13. The questions are in bold font. That pretty much makes up the quiz.

The quiz is from a online site called funquizcards.com. The quiz is a personality quiz to see if you are a shy person or not. The quiz has 13 questions. The reason I chose this quiz from many other quizzes is because often I have been called shy so I thought I look for a quiz pertaining to that.

The convention that can tie into this is maybe a interview. The reason for this is because a interview ask a person questions.

The audience that would be towards maybe just a general audience. People that maybe conscious of what people think of them and what a different perspective of a quiz. The convention has a good purpose in helping someone find out a different point of view of their personality.

Resume

You have a heading at the op with you name, address, phone numbers, and email in bold. Underneath that you have your Objective, Qualifications, Skills & Abilities, Employment History, Education, Honors & Activities, and Notes/Other Information.

I tweaked the information give to each heading. The information gave was from a Certified Nursing Assistant point of view. For example you can look a Qualification heading and see that I tweaked the information for that heading. 

The targeted audience would be a Nursing Home that you are applying for. So a Nursing Home looking for Certified Nursing Assistants.

I incorporated my research on Certified Nursing Assistants. I took in about what a Certified Nursing Assistant need in terms of  Qualifications, Skills & Abilities, and Education. The information given to those heading was what pertain to a CNA. for example by it being 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or a being a High School graduate.

I excluded the problem with Certified Nursing Assistants. the problem of teamwork. Also excluded my observation of what goes on in a nursing home because the information what not need for the resume.

Resume Example

The photo above is my resume. It is on a blank piece of white paper with black words on there. You have a heading at the op with you name, address, phone numbers, and email in bold. Underneath that you have your Objective, Qualifications, Skills & Abilities, Employment History, Education, Honors & Activities, and Notes/Other Information.

The resume belongs me and that is the reason I red out some of my personal information on it. The resume just shows my job history. 

A convention that also ties into this genre I would say Character profile because they both give you information that individual. the difference is that you don't have a photo of yourself on a resume. 

The targeted audience would job that I am applying for. So any job that requires little work experience.

Character Profile

The picture above is a character profile for a female Certified Nursing Assistant. The photo of the nurse is on the top left corner. She is wearing all purple nursing scrubs, a telescope wrapped around her neck, and hold a medical chart. To the right of the photo is the word Profile and under is the her stats. The stats are Name, DOB(Date of Birth), Height, Religion, Hobbies, Education, Skills, and Anything else. The headings are are done in light blue coloring and the information in pink.

Well I had to tweak the conventions to fit a Certified Nursing Assistant. I had to change some of the information on the character profile to make to wear you are learning more information about a nurse. Foe example I added Education, skills, and Anything else. Education and Skills was major to add because that's something you need to know about a CNA.

The audience is towards maybe nursing homes that are hiring Certified Nursing Assistants. Nursing homes can look at the information given and see if that person fit the criteria. 

I took information from my research and observation. I used my observations to find a photo of  a Certified Nursing Assistant, I made sure to find a photo of a nurse with CNA uniform on. From my research used what a CNA should have in the education field.

I left out obvious the problem with nursing and the aspect of what goes on in a nursing home because this person is trying to get a job in a nursing home.

Character/Person Profile Example

A picture of person in the top left hand corner, the picture it not too big and not to small. To the right of the photo in bold big letters the word "Profile". Under the word profile are a list of words in bold; Name, English name, Stage Name, Position, DOB, Height, Blood Type, Religion, Hobbies, Favorite Color(s), Education Background, Specialties, and First Stage Performance. After each bold heading on the right side of the photo there is little information about each heading. That pretty much makes up a person's profile.

The person from the profile is Minzy from the South Korean Girl-group 2NE1. The profile basically tells about Minzy, letting you know her real name, hobbies, and favorite color(s). The reason I chose the person's profile sheet because I know this group very well and I decided to do something that I know about.

The conventions associated with this is a piece of art by it being the photo with the profile information. Also I would say resume because a character profile is kinda like a resume because it's letting you know about that person. 

The audience can be targeted at fans because the fans would come to a site to look at character profile of their favorite idols or characters. The look for character profiles to know more about that person. 

Thank You Card

The Thank you card I made on a blank sheet of white paper because I wanted to complement the words in color. the first photo is the front of the the flip up thank you card. You can see explanation marks around the word thank you because I wanted to show the excitement of the word "Thank You!"   The second photo is the inside of the card. It has a written message from Gilbert Nursing Home to the families of their patients. The message is basically saying thank you for choose their nursing home and letting their nurses take care of their family. Also I added explanation marks down at the corner.

I tweak the card for nurses. I still went with the thank you card theme just used it for a different purpose. 

The target audience would be Nurses and the families of the patients. 

From my research i took what I learn about the patients families having photos and information by their doors of their room. By the families having this the Nurse can get to know a little background information about their patient. It's a really nice thing for the nursing home. 

I left out the problem  of teamwork with Certified Nursing Assistant because this is a thank you card and something like that doesn't need to brought up in the card. 

Greeting Card Example

This is a Thank You Greeting Card from the yearbook staff at Willow Run High School.The greeting card was made on photoshop and then printed on card stock paper. It says Thank you on the front and a picture of a yearbook to represent the yearbook staff. the card flips up and has a little message from the staff saying thank you for your business.

The card is from the yearbook staff at Willow Run High School. The greeting card is thanking the advertisers for putting a advertisement in their yearbook for 2011. I actually designed this greeting card in high my senior year. I was on the yearbook staff and was asked to make a thank you card. So i accepted and did so. 

The target audience is just businesses. The thank you card was just directed to the businesses that purchased a ad spot in the yearbook. The money helped the yearbook get published.

TeamWork Poem

I came up with this poem about the problem within Certified Nursing Assistants. It's called TeamWork. The Poem is written on a blank piece of white paper to complement the words in purple marker. The poem is written in my own handwriting so you can see the uniqueness. There are stars on the paper to show my signature because my middle name is Starr. Also there is questioned marks on the paper because the poem is about teamwork and wandering where is the teamwork within the Certified Nursing Assistant field.

I just went with the convention of Poem and took the problem of Teamwork within the Certified Nursing Assistants field and came up with a poem. I had tweak the poem a little because I am not that great at making poems so I had to cut the poem short. 

This is directed at Nurses mostly. the reason for this is because the number problem within the nursing field is teamwork. No one wants to help their co-workers out and tend to the elderly. The elderly needs care in this world and by nurses just either standing around or just chatting they can make better use of their time and help  out a co-worker or a patient.

I incorporated facts about my community, that being the main topic about teamwork. From the observation I incorporated the line "talking, chatting socializing"  into the poem because from what I observe was workers just do that. Instead of doing those things they could use their time to help others. The reason I did this is because it helped me a  lot in creating the poem.

I had to leave somethings in the poem because it didn't really tie into the topic of the poem. I had to leave out basically what elderly do in their time in the nursing homes. That would not fit into my poem because I'm talking about teamwork.

Poem Example

The above is black font on a grey background. The formation of the poem is almost like a bell shape. The poem is repetitive with the words "I'm tired of" at the beginning of each row.

This is a poem that if found on tumblr one day. The poem caught my eye because of the shape. So I was drawn to it and i started to read it. The meaning of the poem is where I became even more interested in it. I could relate to what the poem was trying to come across and that is that this person is just tired of being tired.  I can relate to this poem a lot and I found this poem amazing. 

I have no idea who wrote this poem but it has a tag to the tumblr to which the poem belongs to. The poem is basically taking about just being tired of being tired. Just tired of having to deal with life. The place where i found this poem is at tumblr.com. It is a great site for bloggers to see all types of things as in pictures, poems, quotes, music, and videos. Also it is a great site to share your own text, photos, links, quotes, music, and videos. the reason for me choosing this poem is because I felt really connected to the poem and what it was talking about.

The convention associated with this genre is blog because it was published on a blog. Also I think personal conventions ties in also because the poem can be really personal to a person. 

The audience can towards anyone that love poems or just need some inspiration.
